An Bang Beach
Hoi An · Vietnam
The short version, from the cited sources
An Bang is the beach of Hoi An, a relaxed strand of pale sand and casual seafood restaurants a short cycle through rice paddies from the UNESCO-listed old town. It took over as the town's main beach as erosion reshaped nearby Cua Dai, and retains a low-rise, lantern-lit character in keeping with Hoi An itself. The dry-season months bring calm, swimmable water; the autumn monsoon brings surf and red flags.
