Bondi Beach
Sydney · Australia
The short version, from the cited sources
Bondi is Australia's best-known city beach: a kilometre-long curve of golden sand on Sydney's eastern shore, framed by headlands and a continuous promenade. It is a working surf beach patrolled by the country's oldest surf life saving clubs, with swimming between the flags, learner-friendly waves at the southern end and the ocean pool at Bondi Icebergs. The clifftop coastal walk to Bronte and Coogee begins at its southern point and is as much a part of the visit as the sand itself.
