Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The short version, from the cited sources

Copacabana is four kilometres of crescent beach at the heart of Rio de Janeiro, walked along the black-and-white Portuguese-pavement wave mosaic of the Avenida Atlantica promenade. It functions as the city's public square: New Year's Eve gathers millions on the sand, football and footvolley run all day, and vendor tents and kiosks form a continuous beach economy. The Sugarloaf closes the view at its eastern end and the fort at Copacabana anchors the west.
