Eagle Beach
Oranjestad · Aruba
The short version, from the cited sources
Eagle Beach is Aruba's widest beach, a deep field of soft white sand on the island's sheltered west coast where the water is calm nearly year-round thanks to the island's position outside the main hurricane belt. Its pair of wind-bent fofoti trees at the waterline is among the Caribbean's most reproduced images, and roped-off nest sites appear each season when leatherback and other sea turtles lay eggs directly on the busy sand.
