Lanikai Beach
Kailua · United States
The short version, from the cited sources
Lanikai is a short residential beach on Oahu's windward side, reached through public lanes between houses rather than any developed beachfront. Fine white sand shelves gently into calm turquoise water, with the twin Mokulua islets anchoring the offshore view; the scene has become one of Hawaii's most photographed. There are no facilities and parking pressure on the surrounding streets is a defining constraint of the visit.
