Myrtos Beach
Kefalonia · Greece
The short version, from the cited sources
Myrtos lies below a great amphitheatre of cliffs on Kefalonia's northwest coast, a long field of white marble pebbles meeting water whose saturated blue is caused by the pale stone and sudden depth. The switchback road down and the overlook above provide two of the Ionian islands' defining views. The beach shelves steeply and the swell can be strong; it is admired as much from above as at the waterline.
