Pink Beach (Pantai Merah)
Komodo · Indonesia
The short version, from the cited sources
Pink Beach, Pantai Merah, takes its colour from crushed red organ-pipe coral mixed through white sand; pink-tinted strands occur at several places inside Komodo National Park, most famously on Komodo island itself and on neighbouring Padar. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage site, so visits come with ranger arrangements and park fees, and the reef immediately offshore is among its best easy snorkelling. The islands' dragons are a separate, carefully managed encounter.
