Pink Sands Beach
Dunmore Town · Bahamas
The short version, from the cited sources
The ocean beach of Harbour Island in the Bahamas is genuinely pink: crushed shells of red foraminifera mix through the coral sand, deepening in color at the waterline and at dawn. The beach runs about five kilometres along the island's Atlantic side, protected by an offshore reef that tempers the swell. Golf carts, not cars, serve the colonial-era lanes of Dunmore Town behind it.
