Varadero Beach
Varadero · Cuba
The short version, from the cited sources
Varadero occupies the Hicacos Peninsula on Cuba's north coast, its single beach running more than twenty kilometres in an almost unbroken line, one of the longest continuous resort strands in the Caribbean. Fine white sand slopes gently into placid, clear water along the entire length, which is why the peninsula carries most of Cuba's beach tourism. The old town at its base retains Cuban daily life alongside the international hotels.
