Praia de Jericoacoara
Jijoca de Jericoacoara · Brazil
The short version, from the cited sources
Jericoacoara is a former fishing village folded into high dunes on Brazil's Ceara coast, reachable only by four-wheel-drive across sand tracks within a national park. Streets are unpaved sand, evening gathers the town on the Sunset Dune, and steady trade winds have made the surrounding lagoons and beach one of the world's leading wind and kite-surfing regions. The Pedra Furada sea arch east of town is the coast's emblem.
