Railay West
Krabi · Thailand
The short version, from the cited sources
Railay West is the flagship beach of Krabi's Railay peninsula, cut off from the Thai mainland by jungle-covered limestone towers and reached only by longtail boat. The karst walls that isolate it also made the area one of the world's premier rock-climbing destinations, with routes rising almost from the sand. The beach itself is a broad, west-facing crescent of pale sand with warm Andaman water and sunset views through the stacks.
