Spiaggia dei Conigli
Lampedusa · Italy
The short version, from the cited sources
Rabbit Beach on Lampedusa, Italy's southernmost island, faces Africa across a shallow bay whose water clarity has repeatedly placed it first in world beach rankings. It lies inside a nature reserve: access is on foot down a path, daily numbers and hours are controlled, and the sand is one of the last Italian nesting sites of the loggerhead sea turtle, guarded during egg-laying season. The islet just offshore gives the beach its name.
