Zlatni Rat
Bol · Croatia
The short version, from the cited sources
Zlatni Rat, the Golden Horn, extends from the island of Brac into the Hvar Channel as a spit of fine white pebbles whose very tip visibly shifts shape with wind and current. It is Croatia's most recognised natural landmark, printed on tourism material for decades, and the reliable afternoon maestral wind makes the channel a noted windsurfing run. A pine grove shades the spine of the spit behind the two pebble shores.
